FAT LIGHTER IPA
This warming, winter IPA carries its share of heat, caramel, and hoppy goodness. Brewed with hops from the American Pacific Northwest that leave a piney, resinous flavor on the tongue.
What’s with the name? Fat Lighter. What is that? Fat lighter is pine wood saturated in pitch or resin commonly used for fire starting. Usually found in the pine tree stumps. Whether backpacking or in a survival situation fat wood will simplify starting your fire. It can be used both as tinder and kindling.
I remember the old folks in my youth talking about using fat lighter to start their fires in their homes. In the country and rural areas, fat lighter was intensely sought after in the colder months.
